Rozelle Tram Depot, Sydney

Sydney used to have one of the largest metropolitan tram fleets in the world.  This all changed in the 1950s when trams were progressively replaced with buses.

Rozelle Tram Depot still houses six of the original trams that used to run on the network, though they are woefully neglected and have been subject to extensive vandalism and graffiti over the years.

Jaipur the not-so-pink city

Derelict pink

Jaipur, once capital of one of Rajasthan’s most powerful princely states, became known as the Pink City in the 19th century when the Maharaja ordered that the city centre be painted pink (a welcoming colour) to celebrate the visit of the Prince of Wales.  It’s not so pink these days with alot of buildings now in disrepair.
